Heritage Railway Movements is a family business based in Dorset, run by Gareth & Carly Buscombe. Gareth gained 15 years + experience in abnormal load transport going on to specialise in steam locomotives. opening the business in 2022 buying and selling rolling stock then taking the leap with our own lorry in 2025.
we provide bespoke tailored transport of heritage locomotives and associated rolling stock throughout the uk & into Europe.
we aim to provide a reliable high quality service to ensure that locos arrive at their destination safely and well cared for.
we can cater for all gauges of railway large and small, long and short & indivisible weights up to 120T following STGO regulations.

an active volunteer driver at the Swanage railway and previously at bodmin railway. Gareth has had a lifelong appreciation for all things steam and understands just what goes into the restoration and maintainence of preserved steam.

we buy and sell redundant rolling stock, having a inventory of wagons/coaches and spares available for sale. aiming save as much as we can to keep the operational heritage rolling stock moving on preserved lines.
